Life Intervention for Teens (LIFT)

The Life Intervention for Teens (LIFT) Program is comprised of two separate groups, one for young men and one for young women. These groups are for teenagers with violent behavior patterns and at-risk behaviors. Each group meets weekly for a two hour session. The groups focus on violent behaviors versus non-violent behaviors, and issues such as goals and values, respect for others, types of abuse, conflict resolution, respect and self-identification. The goal of LIFT is to help group members identify alternatives to violent or illegal behaviors through self-awareness. The groups are offered free of charge to all teenagers.
