Community Action

The WIRC-Community Action Agency utilizes a Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) to provide for unmet needs in the region. Income eligible persons receive aid from various program based-services sponsored by this funding source. From emergency services to housing needs to educational opportunities, the WIRC-CAA provides diverse and abundant opportunities to help individuals and families help themselves.

Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program provides scholarships for individuals desiring to further their educational training through an Illinois community college, vocational school, college or university. Applicants should be pursuing employment in a high need field and must be a resident of Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, or Warren counties. Scholarship recipients may apply the scholarship funding towards tuition and fees, textbooks and supplies, or campus room and board. For more information call (309) 837-2997.
