Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program is available for eligible traditional and nontraditional students. Recipients may begin or continue a course of study in a field with high potential for employment at an accredited Illinois two-year community college, technical school or four-year college or university.

Traditional Students
A traditional student is defined as a high school graduating senior, a student presently attending a two to four year college or university, or an individual 25 years of age and under without dependents and who is planning on attending a two year or four year college or university, or occupational training program.

Non-traditional Students
A non-traditional student is defined as an individual 26 years of age or over or an individual with one or more dependents.

WIRC

The WIRC-Community Action Agency utilizes a Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) to provide for unmet needs in the region. Income eligible persons receive aid from various program based-services sponsored by this funding source. From emergency services to housing needs to educational opportunities, the WIRC-CAA provides diverse and abundant opportunities to help individuals and families help themselves.
